The final step to a fairytale ending is approaching quickly. Alumni Megan Bonck and Hayes Walker are getting married at the place where their fairytale started. Bonck and Walker met at the university when they both walked into Dr. Harry Laver’s Military History class where she sat in front of him. Just a little over a year ago, Walker proposed to Bonck at the 2015 Homecoming tailgate wiith a brick that read “Megan M. Bonck/Will you marry me?/ Your Marine.” She said “Yes,” and has planned their wedding keeping in mind where it all started. The fairytale that started on campus has continued since they met on campus and they will now start their next chapter together by getting married on campus. They will say “I do,” at the Memorial Fountain on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. with the reception to follow in the Student Union Ballroom with the wedding being invitation only.
