    Blacklight Pool Tournament

The Campus Activities Board is back with their annual pool tournament, free and open to all students.

Blacklight Pool tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. and it will be taking place in the Student Union Game room. Sign-up time for students will be from 6:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. and the official tournament will begin at 7 p.m.

“The tournament will include a fun twist to the game of pool,” said Todd McElroy, CAB director. “We really hope the students come out and enjoy.”

The game room will be transformed using all black lighting along with glow in the dark lights for the tournament. This will be the CAB’s third time hosting the tournament.

Students who are interested in participating in the tournament have the option to either sign up for the singles division, where they can compete individually, or the team division, where they can compete in teams.

Students on campus are eager for the upcoming pool tournament and are looking forward to enjoying themselves.

“I’m excited to see students doing different extracurricular other than basketball, football and things like that,” said Hannah Rogers, freshman criminal justice major. “I look forward to seeing what the students can do in this competition.”

The winning prize for the tournament is yet to be determined and the tournament will go as long as it takes for a student to win. Twenty-minute caps will be added toward the games until the final round.

“Last year the tournament was really interesting, and I’m eager to see what the competitors will bring to the table during this semester,” said Latifah Jackson, sophomore criminal justice major. “CAB events are always fun to watch, so I know this one will be just as good as the others.”

In addition to the tournament, the pool tables will be free for students to play on during the day leading up until the tournament begins.
