Work has begun in Strawberry Stadium as construction crews tear out the old turf to replace it with the turf that was used in the New Orleans Superdome during the 2010 football season. The project, funded by the Lion Athletics Association (LAA), is expected to be finished as early as mid March. Southeastern Athletics expects the new turf to allow a multitude of new events to be held in Strawberry Stadium, including night soccer games.  According to University Parking, parking in some areas of North Spruce Street Extension will be barricaded or reserved for equipment and material during much of the spring semester. For more information on the new turf, visit www.lionsroarnews.com. For information concerning parking contact University Parking at 985-549-5696.
